Japan TELEC certification
Wireless products entering the Japanese market require model approval by Janpan Telecom (mainly for the RF part). Now the ICT testing laboratory can complete this type of test certification. The TELEC certification process requires submission of information and WLAN and Bluetooth test methods. The introduction is as follows:
(1) TELEC certification standards
For technical standards for certification, please refer to the classification and technical standards of designated radio equipment listed in the technical regulations compliance certification system on its official website. It is worth noting that if there are any differences between these technical standards and the technical requirements of the Radio Regulatory Commission Rules No. 18, the Radio Regulatory Commission Rules No. 18 shall prevail.
(2)Certification type
TELEC certification includes test certification (Test Certification) and type certification (Type Certification). Test certification is a verification for each equipment unit, and the certification is only valid for each verified equipment unit; type certification refers to a verification of samples of a batch of equipment of the same design and manufacture, and the certification is valid for this batch of equipment. Effective, but if the design or manufacturing of the device changes, the device will need to be recertified. It is worth noting that the use of non-low-power radio stations and their terminal equipment requires application for a license from the MIC. In addition, there are two situations for compliance certification of telecommunications terminal equipment: for ordinary telephone equipment, JATE certification is required as required by the Telecommunications Act; for wireless terminal equipment, in addition to JATE certification as required by the Telecommunications Act, it is also required TELEC certification as required by the Radio Act.

Note: It is recommended that all submitted documents be in Japanese. English documents are also accepted. Test reports can be in the language used by the local testing agency.
TELEC is Japan's mandatory certification for wireless products, somewhat similar to the domestic SRRC.
It follows Japan's radio wave law. The specific test specifications follow the MIC (Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications of Japan) Notice No. 88 regulations, and the update and maintenance of the test specifications are also carried out by MIC.
The test items for WiFi and Bluetooth products are basically similar to the European standard EN300 328.
Among them, the standard used by 2.4GHz WiFi products (802.11b/g, 2412~2472 MHz) and Bluetooth products is MIC Notice No.88 Annex43, but for the 14 channels (Channel 14: 2471 ~ 2497MHz) of 2.4GHz WiFi products, a separate When using Annex44 for testing and reporting, the corresponding fees will also need to increase.
For 5GHz WiFi products (802.11a, 5180~5320MHz, W52 Band and W53 Band), the test standard followed is Annex45. However, it should be noted that the data shows that MIC will modify Annex45 in the near future and include 5.6GHz equipment (Band W56). It is classified as Annex45 and has more stringent DFS test requirements for the Band 56 frequency band.
