Introduction to CEC Certification
CEC is the abbreviation of the California Energy Commission (California Energy Commis-sion's). Its responsibility is to make the energy market develop in the direction of healthy competition. The California Appliance Efficiency Regulation (Appliance Efficiency Regulation) implemented by the organization since 1976 is the only mandatory energy-saving regulation in the United States that can influence non-governmental consumer behavior and has played an important role in reducing energy consumption.
The regulations stipulate minimum energy efficiency standards for 21 categories of electrical products, and are regularly updated to review and incorporate new energy efficiency technologies and methods. The latest current version is CEC-400-2009-013. There are currently 58 categories of electronic and electrical products sold in California, USA, that require CEC energy efficiency certification, mainly for rice cookers, power supplies, and lamps (ballasts or energy-saving lamps). The regulations are specifically divided into energy efficiency index requirements, measurement methods and phased implementation plans.
According to the requirements of this regulation, electrical products must be tested by qualified laboratories in accordance with corresponding American standards, and can only be sold in California, USA, after proving that they meet the requirements. SIT obtained the certificate issued by the California Energy Commission on April 8, 2013, and officially became a CEC-accredited testing agency.
The scope of SIT’s CEC-approved testing products includes:
For AC Input external Power Supply, the California Energy Act stipulates that to be sold in California, the Before July 1, 2007, if the device has obtained CEC (California Energy Commission's) energy efficiency test certification, if it cannot meet the requirements of the new Appliance Efficiency Regulation, it will be prohibited from being sold in California, USA.

CEC accredited laboratory inquiry
The California Energy Organization requires that all products sold in California must meet their energy efficiency requirements, and the products must pass laboratory testing accredited by them. The product is tested by SIT and a report is issued by SIT. Customers can sell it in California with our report. SIT's laboratory has been accredited and can be found on the CEC website:
